Job Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive patient assessments through meticulous physical examinations and comprehensive medical history evaluations

Aid in diagnosing surgical conditions by interpreting imaging results and lab data

Work jointly with surgeons to devise and implement personalized surgical treatment plans

Deliver intraoperative assistance, including preparing operating rooms, ensuring proper patient positioning, and effectively handing off instruments during procedures

Provide outstanding pre- and post-operative care including medication management, wound treatment, discharge planning, and educating patients Education

Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program

Completion of clinical rotations focused on surgical care is strongly preferred Certifications

Current and unrestricted PA-C certification

BLS and ACLS certifications required

State licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant Desired Skills

Thorough understanding of surgical principles and maintaining sterile technique

Proven ability to interpret diagnostic tests and assist in complex clinical decision-making

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are essential

Ability to function effectively in high-pressure settings, especially during surgical operations
