The Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine at West Virginia University is currently accepting applications for a Laboratory Technician.

* Wellness programs What You'll Do * Conduct primary laboratory research.

* Maintaining mammalian cell cultures.

* Performing experiments using mammalian cells.

* Fluorescence microscopy.

* Conducting their own independent research projects in the lab.

* Molecular biology (cloning and PCR) Pay Grade: 15 * Bachelor's degree in biochemistry, biology or related field.

* A minimum of 0-6 months experience working in a research lab * Any equivalent combination of related education and experience will be considered.

* All qualification must be met by the time of employment.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities * Familiarity with molecular biology techniques * Fluorescence microscopy and mammalian cell culture.

Training will be provided.
