Position Type: Maintenance/Custodial/Maintenance General Date Posted: 9/3/2025 Location: Region 12 Schools Additional Information: Show/Hide Maintenance - Region 12 Schools, Shift: 6:00 am to 2:00 pm JOB SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Director of Facilities, maintenance employees are responsible for the care, general maintenance and upkeep of the district buildings and grounds, vehicles, and equipment to provide a pleasant, secure and safe working and learning environment for employees, students, families and visitors to Region 12 District Schools and facilities.
QUALIFICATIONS: * High School diploma or equivalent * Minimum of three (3) years of successful experience in building and grounds maintenance or similar trade experience * Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and automobile insurance, own reliable transportation, and be able to travel as required * General knowledge of fundamental tools, materials, practices, maintenance methods, and procedures in carpentry, plumbing, low voltage electrical, mechanical and landscaping trades * Ability to estimate, determine, and order supplies to carry out required duties * Knowledge of building code conformance standards for carpentry, plumbing, low voltage electricity, electrical installation, and repair * Knowledge of OSHA standards including occupational safety and health laws and regulations * Ability to analytically think, troubleshoot and problem-solve facility mechanical or maintenance issues * Ability to follow oral, written and electronic work orders, and to coordinate work completion following instructions furnished in written, oral or diagrammatic form Application Procedure: Apply Online Selection Procedure: Interview Maintenance Job Description
