About the job Hematology/Oncology NP
St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, Illinois is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our growing Hematology/Oncologyteam. This is a full-time outpatient position offering an opportunity to deliver comprehensive cancer care in a collaborative, patient-centered environment. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team committed to clinical excellence and compassionate care.
Position Details & Qualifications:
Full-time, outpatient-based role
Provide direct patient care under physician supervision
Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop treatment plans, and manage care
Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and monitor treatment response
Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment options, and side effect management
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals for coordinated care
Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EMR
Qualifications:
Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the state of Illinois
Board-certified as an Adult-Gerontology NP (AGNP) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
Hematology/Oncology experience strongly preferred
New graduates with strong oncology RN backgrounds may be considered
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Bilingual in Spanish or Ukrainian is a plus

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $125,000-$140,000 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
