Position Title: Substance Use Disorder Director Department: Substance Use Disorder Position Reports to: Medical Director Position Summary: The Substance Use Disorder Director is a team leader of an out-patient substance use disorder program and will be called upon to coordinate the efforts of the out-patient staff and referring agencies in both Alvarado and Marengo sites.
Job Responsibilities: * Manage efforts of the out-patient Substance Use Disorder program(s). * Oversee/Manage all counselors, interns, volunteers and outreach staff in department.
* Ensures that the goals and objectives of the program(s) are coordinated on a day-to-day.
* Oversee all referrals for all outside sources.
* Facilitate, plan, teach, schedule, and lead educational programs/classes conducted on site for program participants and their Conducts collateral services, crisis intervention, and groups as need it.
* Responsible in developing, implementing, and teaching domestic violence, anger management, and parenting, and Substance Use Disorder classes.
* Responsible for any expansion of Substance Use Disorder and Specialty programs and services for both sites.
* Oversees all aspects of Substance Use Disorder and Specialty billing and ensures all documents are in compliance.
* Responsible for signing and approving all county mandated forms as the Clinical Director.
* Oversees all reporting required by County but not limited to LACRY, CALOMS and any other additional reporting required * Responsible for all Substance Use Disorder audits * Responsible for coordinating or developing department trainings.
* Ensures all policies and procedures are develop or updated on an annual basis.
* Designated representative for all Substance Use Disorder and Specialty meetings and establishing relationships.
* Responsible for all Clinical Director duties as required by County * Responsible for developing a client treatment plan and ensuring that the plan is seen through completion.
* Responsible for writing and delivering of a curriculum approved by the County of Los Angel * Identify, recommends and/or creates educational materials to be used for the participants of the pro * Provide written reports of activities to the County of Los Angeles * Meets regularly with other Department leaders and helps continued close coordination and integration of SUD-MAT with Behavioral Health, Primary Care, Women's Health, Prenatal Care, and Homeless outreach Care, Tele-Health, and Dental programs.
* Reports SUD department status updates at the Operations meeting of each month with the Operations Director * Complete other tasks, from time to time be identified and assigned by the Medical Director Qualifications/Requirements: * Certified substance abuse and addiction counselor * A minimum of five years' experience in human services/community based organization programs specifically dealing with alcohol and drug abuse prevention and recovery * Must have experience in either coordinating or directing an out-patient drug and alcohol * Must have knowledge and experience working with the Los Angeles County Plan for Alcohol-Related * Must demonstrate an understanding of the recovery process, which includes the twelve step program(s). * Must have experience with developing a curriculum for group classes to assist with * Must have experience case managing clients in * Must have experience in observed drug testing of clients * Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office and E * Must have experience with SAPC (substance use prevention control) billing procedures.
* Prior responsibility for self-directed work including work in prevention, education, and recovery areas.
* Must have experience working in the greater Los Angeles community * Must hold a certificate in clinical supervision/ BA or Master's degree in Human Services or a related field.
* Must provide proof of up-to-date COVID-19 vaccinations including recommended doses in the primary series AND booster dose when eligible.
