Summary: Provides support to the administrative staff in the TRIO Office for the planning, coordination and implementation of projects, events and services, publications and systems.
Coordinates the scheduling, staffing and delivery of services for each component of the programs.Duties and Responsibilities: * Daily management of office activities and staff for completion of tasks for the TRIO grant.
* Assist the Director with campus and community outreach within target areas.
* Identify and recruit eligible participants enrolled in target schools (monthly visits). Maintain an up-to-date list of current participants and waiting list of eligible students for selection.
* Maintain effective communication with school officials for identification of eligible participants, obtain required academic documents for U.S.
Department of Education annual reporting, and projects assigned by the Director.
* Manage contact entries in Blumen software and maintain knowledge of funded caseload requirement.
* Coordinate and facilitate participant programming, including a 6-weeks summer program, throughout the year.
* Director's proxy during Director absences.
* Create and summarize program effectiveness through participant feedback and file maintenance.
* Reliable, team player, and independent worker capable of efficient and effective job performance with a great work ethic.
* Coordinate meetings, materials, updates, recruiting initiatives, and other support functions of the program.
* Assist with maintenance of budget and expenditures.
* Available to work evenings and weekends along with ability to travel.
* Participate in professional development and assist with coordination of professional development.
* Provide administrative support regarding all aspects of the TRIO Upward Bound program as specified by the Director.
* Provide complete information to all stakeholders, AAMU administration, faculty, staff, parents, participants, target schools, and community partners.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office * Assist with all staff onboarding.
* Assist with grant writing.
* Maintains confidentiality.
Minimum Position Requirements: * Master's degree in education, counseling, social work, or another related field.
* Minimum of three (3) years of related work experience with disadvantaged teen/young adult populations * Supervision experience.
