Duties: Job Summary:
Ensures that the evaluation of Radiology procedures, equipment and staff are administered in a fashion that is accurate, timely, responsive and reliable. Customers served include UHS employees, Medical Staff, patients and regulatory agencies. Priority will be given to activities that directly affect customer service.
Job Responsibilities:
-Demonstrates the ability to perform routine portable and fluoroscopic procedures, as well as operating room procedures, as requested by referring physicians as well as providing all required documentation on requisition.
-Establishes effective communication with referring physicians, radiologists, ancillary departments and customers to ensure quality patient care is rendered.
-Ensures proper safety procedures are met, and radiation safety practices are adhered to according to ALARA principles.
-Demonstrates a working knowledge of UHS information service systems.
-Provides patient education and thorough documentation to provide the best quality of care for all patient needs.
-Adheres to appropriate and accepted clinical principles, methods and procedures while performing or supervising imaging and radiologic diagnostic procedures.
-Complies with all hospital policies and procedures pertaining to incident reporting.
-Additional duties as assigned by the department.

-Associate's degree in radiologic technology.

-New York State license as Radiologic Technologist.
