Position Title LEEP Job Coach Adjunct Instructor (Pool) FLSA Non-Exempt FT/PT Part Time Hours Per Week 6 hours per week Work Schedule Two days, Monday through Thursday, 1 - 4 pm Position Salary Range Starting at $38 per hour General Responsibilities The Job Coach is one member of a three-person team of instructors in the Life Skills Employment and Education Program (LEEP) at the Howard County Detention Center.
The Job Coach works with students to prepare for re-entry and gainful employment.
Work Performed The qualified job coach will: * Coach students to identify the job-related, adaptive, and transferrable skills they possess; * Assist students in preparing a professional Resume and Cover Letter while building their digital literacy; * Prepare students in all aspects of a job interview, culminating in a mock interview; and * Provide students with realistic ways to handle difficult questions relating to their incarceration in the most neutral way.
Minimum Education Required Bachelor's degree Minimum Number of Years Experience Required 2 Other Knowledge Required Working Conditions Classes are held in the afternoons in the Howard County Detention Center.
