Description
Glenville State University, a proud NCAA Division II institution and member of the Mountain East Conference, invites applications for the position of Pitching Coach for the Men's Baseball program. This position is responsible for the leadership, development, and performance of the pitching staff, and will play a vital role in the continued growth and success of the baseball program.
Examples of Duties
Oversee the Pitching Staff: Provide strategic leadership and daily oversight of all aspects of pitcher development, including in-season and off-season training plans.
Daily Programming: Design and implement individualized and team-wide training regimens focused on physical conditioning, mechanics, mental approach, recovery, and performance optimization for pitchers.
Player Development: Utilize video analysis, data analytics, and modern pitching tools/technology to guide and enhance the development of each pitcher.
Scouting and Game Preparation: Develop and present thorough and effective scouting reports to assist with game strategy, with an emphasis on opposing hitters and tendencies.
Recruitment: Assist in the identification, evaluation, and recruitment of prospective student-athletes, particularly pitchers, in alignment with program and institutional values.
Academic Oversight: Monitor and support the academic progress of the pitching staff, ensuring compliance with NCAA academic standards and supporting student-athlete success.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Head Coach, Assistant Coaches, and support staff to ensure a cohesive and competitive program.
Compliance: Uphold all NCAA, Mountain East Conference, and Glenville State University rules and policies.
Typical Qualifications
Required:
• Prior collegiate or high-level playing/coaching experience, with a focus on pitching.
• Strong understanding of modern pitching strategies, biomechanics, and data-driven development tools.
• Effective communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Preferred:
• Master's / Bachelors degree in a related field.
• Experience in college baseball.
• Familiarity with pitching technologies such as Rapsodo, TrackMan, or similar platforms.

TIAA Total Disability Benefits Plan: Optional employees coverage that provides (1) monthly income and (2) payments of premiums to your TIAA/CREF retirement plan to participating employees who suffer total, long-term disabilities. The cost is adjusted according to individual salary on a yearly basis. Employees become eligible upon completion of the first year of employment.
