Now Hiring: Wheelchair Supervisor

Location: Harrisburg International Airport (MDT)

Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour

Shift: Full-Time 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM

May also serve as a Relief Supervisor as needed

As a Wheelchair Supervisor, you'll play a crucial leadership role ensuring safe, smooth, and respectful service for passengers requiring mobility assistance. Key Responsibilities:

Oversee day-to-day wheelchair operations at the airport

Provide direct support to and communication with the Account Manager and corporate office

Ensure sufficient staffing and effective scheduling to meet operational and customer service standards

Maintain accurate and timely payroll records and personnel/training files

Report unusual events, incidents, or operational issues to leadership in real time

Ensure full compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as airline and Huntleigh policies

Build strong working relationships with airline staff, TSA, and airport authorities

Communicate security directives and company policies to staff promptly and clearly

Handle confidential matters professionally, demonstrating excellent problem-solving and diplomacy

Manage and adhere to collective bargaining agreements where applicableWhat We're Looking For:

High school diploma or GED required

Associate degree or equivalent experience preferred

2-5 years of experience in aviation, transportation, or customer service leadership

Reliable, professional, and calm under pressure

Excellent organizational and communication skills

Ability to manage staffing, timekeeping, and compliance documentation efficiently

Strong computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word)

Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work on your feet throughout your shiftAdditional Qualifications:

Proven ability to follow written and verbal instructions

Comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor environments, including all weather conditions

Ability to adapt and respond quickly to operational needs in a dynamic airport setting

Familiarity with HR systems, project management tools, and scheduling software is a plusPhysical & Work Environment Requirements:

This position requires regular standing, lifting, walking, and exposure to airport noise, heat, cold, and moving mechanical equipment. Reasonable accommodations can be made for individuals with disabilities.

This role includes direct oversight of Huntleigh USA's wheelchair operations at Harrisburg International Airport. You'll be responsible for team leadership, performance, scheduling, and compliance within your designated area.
