K-2 General Education / Intervention Specialist Tutor - (2)

Non-Bargaining Grant Funded Position Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.

Hours: 5.75 hours daily.

Report times will be scheduled based on student needs; not to exceed 28.75 hours per week.

Compensation: $25 per hour Essential Duties & Responsibilities: * Work with small groups of students in all settings (resource room, co-teach, or independently) * Responsible for writing IEPs * Provide intervention for students on an IEP * Assist with documentation and progress monitoring * Assist in classroom management duties including small group instruction.

* Ensure that students are in a safe, secure environment at all times.

* Employ a variety of strategies to manage student behavior and conflict.

Requirements: (Documents must be on file prior to start) * Appropriate and valid Ohio teaching license: (P-3), (PK-5), or (K-12) Intervention Specialist License; (K-12) Handicapped License * Current favorable BCII (State) and FBI (Federal) background checks * Official Sealed Transcripts * Negative Drug Screen Employees must follow all board policies, all state, and federal laws, and adhere to the Ohio Code of Ethics set up by the Ohio Department of Education.

The successful candidate must keep current with Safe Schools courses as recommended.
