Candidate requirements

Job specification

Direct the clinical, operational, and administrative functions of the NICU to ensure high standards of care and efficient workflows.

Supervise nursing staff, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and fostering a culture of accountability and compassion.

Implement evidence-based practices and quality improvement initiatives to optimize neonatal outcomes.

Develop and manage budgets, ensuring proper allocation of resources and adherence to fiscal goals.

Collaborate with neonatologists, pediatricians, and interdisciplinary teams to support comprehensive, coordinated care.

Candidate requirements

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.

Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in NICU nursing, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.

NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification is required.

Certification in Neonatal Intensive Care Nursing (RNC-NIC) or other relevant specialty certification is highly preferred.
