Description
As a clinician/therapist in the Children and Family Treatment and Supports (CFTS) program at Astor Services, you will play a crucial role in providing therapeutic support to families in their homes and communities. Your role will include conducting assessments, delivering evidence-based interventions, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support family dynamics and strengthen relationships. You will develop individualized treatment plans, and provide therapeutic interventions tailored to the needs of each family. Additionally, you will engage in case consultations, collaborate with other professionals, and participate in team meetings. This role is a rewarding combination of interactive and administrative tasks. Flexible scheduling allows for non -traditional shift work; giving the clinician the opportunity to balance work/life responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify the needs and strengths of families
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Provide family therapy sessions using evidence-based practices
Utilize therapeutic techniques to support and strengthen family relationships
Collaborate with other professionals to ensure holistic care
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Participate in regular team meetings and supervision sessions
Engage with community resources to support families effectively

Requirements
You must have:
Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field
Current licensure or eligibility for licensure in New York state - LMSW (or Limited Permit), LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT, LCAT, Psychologists
Experience working with families in a therapeutic setting
Strong understanding of family systems and evidence-based therapeutic interventions
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
You should have:
Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
Proficiency in clinical documentation
Excellent time-management and organizational skills
Outgoing personality with the confidence of handle challenging situations and people
Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
