AI/ML Research Engineer-Autonomy Position Overview At Aurora Flight Sciences, we design, build, and fly advanced aircraft and enabling technologies from concept to reality.
We are searching for a talented and self-motivated AI/ML Research Engineer-Autonomy to help us create the future of flight.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following: Responsibilities * Develop and apply cutting-edge AI/ML techniques to address technical challenges in aerospace and defense applications.
* Support the rapid development of innovative demonstrations and prototypes to mature AI/ML-enabled autonomous systems, including modeling, simulation, and integration to real-world vehicles.
* Contribute to applied research and development programs in collaboration with external partners, including MIT and other institutions.
Minimum Requirements * Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field with 0-2+ years of relevant experience.
* Experience with machine learning algorithms and tools (e.g., PyTorch), artificial intelligence, computer vision, or natural language processing.
* Experience with software development (e.g., Python). * Must be a US Person (US citizen or permanent resident/Green Card holder). Preferred Requirements * Master's degree or equivalent practical experience.
* Experience with robotics or autonomous vehicles.
* Experience with C++. Physical Requirements * Occasional travel may be required.
* This is a hybrid position going on-site weekly at our Cambridge, MA, or Manassas, VA offices.
Proximity to one of these locations is required.
Salary Range (Annualized USD) * Minimum Range: $62,000.00 to $110,000.00 * Maximum Range: $75,000.00 to $134,000.00
