Position Details Position Information Position Title Academic Support Coordinator and Simulation Implementation Department Caylor School of Nursing Position Category Staff Full Time Job Description The Academic Support Coordinator - Nursing assists in the day-to-day operations of the Caylor School of Nursing and is on a 12-month contract Administrative Professional position.

The Academic Support Coordinator - Nursing reports to the Dean of the CSON.

The Academic Support Coordinator - Nursing plays a supportive role in strengthening the Universitys efforts to provide quality educational support to promote the success of students enrolled in CSON programs.

The Academic Support Coordinator will assist the students and faculty of the CSON with educational support at all nursing learning locations, assist with the Student Welfare Alert System, and academic supporting and monitoring of academically at-risk students.

The simulation portion of the position consists of setting up simulation rooms with appropriate equipment and props.

There may be a need to assist with simulation from time to time throughout each semester.

Required Qualifications Minimum of a bachelors degree in nursing and an unencumbered Tennessee RN license *ability to communicate (written and verbal) effectively to a variety of constituents Preferred Qualifications experience tutoring and working with students in higher education Physical Demands Campus Cedar Bluff Job Duty Job Duty Promote the mission of Lincoln Memorial University to all faculty, staff, students and to the community at large Job Duty Promote effective working relationships among faculty, staff and students Job Duty Assist with the operation of the Academic Support program including the Student Welfare Alert System, Job Duty Academic monitoring, gathering of data for reports, coordinating with faculty, and academic tutoring with designated academically at-risk students Job Duty Assists to, plan, and provide tutoring to nursing students to support academic success, complete required institutional, program accreditation and other reports necessary for the advancement of the University and its programs Job Duty Work closely with faculty at all learning sites.

Job Duty Actively participate in the regular meetings with other Academic Support personnel for sharing of best practices Job Duty Participate in campus-wide intervention strategies Job Duty Develop and maintain detailed knowledge of and referral to campus resources and opportunities.
