Member Duties : AmeriCorps members will serve as Strong Start Ambassadors to provide academic interventions and community resources assistance.

Strong Start Academy Elementary School will serve students in grades K-3 offering bilingual education, with students receiving academic instruction in both English and Spanish.

*Candidates must be bi-lingual in English/Spanish to qualify for this position.

900 hour positions available for service period of September 2025 - May 2026.

The stipend for these positions are up to $14,631.100 for the 9-month term ($731.55 bi-weekly), education award is $3,697.50, and required hours are 27.5 hours per week.

While the majority of service hours are completed onsite during school hours, members will engage in additional professional and community development meetings and/or projects, which may take place during evening or weekend hours.
