Unit: Cath LabCandidate must be able to scrub and monitorNumber of Beds/Cases: 5 procedural rooms / 15-20 cases a dayPatient Age Group: Adolescent, Adults, Geriatric, OutpatientTop 10 Diagnosis/Procedures: Cardiac Cath- Left and Right, PCIs, CTOs, Pacemaker Insertion, Cardioversion, Watchman, TEE, DVT, PE, EP AblationsCommon Medications used on the unit: Midazolam, Fentanyl, Aspirin, Nitroglycerin, Amioderone, Hydralazine, Lidocaine, Heparin, Plavix, Angiomax, Brilinta, Effient, Cangrelor, Integrelin, Optiray, Vancomycin, AncefCommon Equipment: Impella, Rotablator, Shockwave, IVUS, Manifold, CSI, Laser, IABP, IFR, Acist Required Skills List: Line Management/Skills:Vascular Device Access/CareCVPIABPCardiac SkillsObtain 12 Lead EKGTele InterpretationSheath RemovalCardioversion/DefibrillationCritical Care Skills: Impella/LVAD8-hours of continuing education in Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS) yearly - we can offer this upon starting if needed.
