Job Description:

Scotts Miracle-Gro is seeking a Dispatcher to join our team for a 4-month contract position. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and communication skills to coordinate logistics effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate and manage truck dispatch operations (prior experience is a plus but not required).

Communicate with drivers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure efficient scheduling and routing.

Utilize computer systems to track shipments, update records, and generate reports.

Handle incoming calls and provide accurate information regarding dispatch schedules.

Operate office equipment, including fax machines, copiers, and scanners.

Maintain accurate documentation and records related to dispatch operations.

Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth daily operations. Qualifications & Requirements:

Strong computer proficiency, including experience with dispatch or logistics software (preferred).

Excellent telephone communication skills with a professional and customer-friendly demeanor.

Ability to multi-task and prioritize work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team with a proactive, results-driven attitude.

Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening.
