Surgical Technologist - Iowa

Winneshiek Medical Center (dba WinnMed) is seeking a full-time contract for a Surgical Technologist in the Surgery Department for 13 weeks minimum. Location is in Decorah, Iowa. Surgical Technologists are responsible for providing technical assistance during surgical procedures, and have knowledge of and utilize appropriate protocols relating to scrubbing and assisting in surgery of patients of all ages. The successful candidate must be highly motivated, possess excellent interpersonal skills, and be a team player. Surgery Includes: General Orthopedics ENT OBGYN Podiatry Urology Dental Job Requirements: State of Iowa Mandatory reporter training Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program Surgical Technologist Certification preferred Must stay within 30 minutes of WinnMed when on-call American Heart Association BLS required Schedule: Position is primarily 8 hour shifts Monday - Friday, 7:00a - 3:30 pm. Hours may fluctuate slightly based on surgery case load (as early as 6:00am). Position includes on-call rotation, approximately 1 night per every 2 week pay period, and every 5th to 6th weekend. Holiday Call rotation included.
