Description Teaches speech/communicationcourse(s) as assigned.
Examples of Duties A.
Provides instruction and evaluates student performance for each instructional assignment.
B.
Selects and reviews educational strategies and materials to facilitate achievement of competencies related to each course taught.
C.
Prepares current syllabi and instructional materials in accordance with course master syllabi, college policies and procedures.
D.
Collaborates with colleagues to review and revise curriculum, teaching materials, and teaching methods to promote student success and lifelong learning.
E.
Meets classes as scheduled by the College.
F.
Maintains and provides attendance and grade records for each class.
G.
Assesses student learning outcomes at the class, course, and program levels as defined by the faculty Assessment Committee.
H.
Works in a collaborative manner and responds to phone and email requests promptly.
I.
Provides students additional or academically related assistance on an individual basis, and/or refers to other appropriate resources.
J.
Follows the policies and procedures of the College.
K.
Maintains regular contact with the Division Associate Dean and/or program director/coordinator.
L.
Adheres to the Mission, Vision and Core Values of the College.
M.
Performs other duties as required or assigned by the supervisor.
Other Opportunities: A.

Minimum Qualifications A.
Master's degree with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours within discipline is required.
B.
Prior experience as an excellent, innovative teacher, and with the use of instructional technologies desirable; community college teaching experience preferred.
C.
Qualified candidate must have strong reading, writing, communication, and computation skills as well as be computer literate or willing to learn.
Supplemental Information Pay is determined upon hire.
