Pediatric Intensivist Opportunity with Outdoor Adventure at Your Doorstep

Pediatrix is seeking a highly skilled and motivated BC/BE Pediatric Intensivist to join our growing healthcare team at Timpanogos Regional Hospital, part of the the MountainStar Children’s Network in Orem, UT.

Where You'll Practice

Combined 8-bed pediatric floor and 4-bed community-based PICU

Average daily census of 4–6 combined PICU/pediatric patients (average 2 floor patients per day)

Average 300 combined annual admissions

What You Can Expect

3 physician practice with shared responsibilities

24/7 split coverage of both units with morning rounds and call from home

Good work-life balance, averaging 10.5 days of call per month

1–2 outpatient sedations per week, primarily for MRIs (will train)

No newborn coverage required— Focus solely on pediatric and PICU care

Occasional tele-consults with a satellite inpatient unit in Ogden, UT

Provide support to a large collegial network of primary care pediatricians

Work closely with a network of pediatric subspecialty providers including cardiology, gastroenterology, surgery, anesthesia, orthopedic surgery, craniofacial/plastic surgery, otolaryngology, and interventional radiology.

The hospital includes a robust Level III NICU staffed by Pediatrix neonatologists

Comprehensive pediatric programs with nutrition, child life, case management, and administration support
