Work Location: 4390 Parliament Pl, Lanham, MD 20706

-Required skills/experience:

3-4 years acute care experience required.

Must be fluent in medical terminology

Experience can be as a CNA, MA, EMT, RN, etc.

Experience in a high-volume call center

Must be able to leverage understanding of medical terminology to quickly triage and prioritize calls

Licenses and Cert:

NREMT - National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians-Basic (EMT-B) (current or prior registration) preferred.

National Association of Air Medical Communication Center Specialist Certification - NAACS (current or prior registration) preferred or

Emergency Medical Dispatcher (current or prior registration) preferred.

Medical Assistant (current or prior registration) preferred.

Certified Nursing Assistant (current or prior registration) preferred.

-Ideal candidate:

Is or was previously NAACS (National Association of Air Medical Communication Center Specialist) Certified

Is or was previously a registered EMD (Emergency Medical Dispatcher)

-Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Proficiency in keyboarding (> 60 words/minute preferred)

Ability to manages multi-line telephone system (10 lines)

Detail-oriented, ability to multi-task and manage projects

Shift: Day 4x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:00)

Night 4x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00) ;
