You are a strong leader responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive programming strategy for our 24/7 streaming News channel on Vix.
You bring exceptional communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect across diverse stakeholder groups.
YOUR DAY-DAY: (aka Responsibilities) * Oversee total functionality for Noticias Univision 24/7, local news, and entertainment channels.
* Lead the end-to-end operations of streaming channels, including content scheduling, playout, format management, and content delivery workflows.
* Develop and implement operational strategies that maximize efficiency.
* Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Format Editors and Scheduling Coordinators to ensure all technical requirements are properly met, creating the necessary version(s) for internal clients or for distribution.
* Oversee content ingestion into content management platform for our channels and syndication to TVU (streaming platform), metadata management (Title Registry), and quality control processes to maintain consistent, high-quality streaming standards.
* Partner with engineering and product team (TVU) to troubleshoot, document, resolve, and improve system issues affecting streaming operations.
* Provide operational feedback to product (TVU) and engineering team, influencing platform (U/I) enhancements, feature development, and track all customizations.
* Conduct system testing of new update features and graphics in the sandbox and VM updates to discover any operational bugs in software.
* Monitor network and local channels programming changes to update grids and playlist accordingly, including news updates, breaking news, and scheduling of all long-form programming for the channels.
* Monitor media rights of content based on communication with Producers and Content team to avoid rights infringement, including "best of shows" for the weekend.
* Ensuring all social media profiles for 24/7 reflect the channel identity.
* Availability to be on call after hours and weekends as necessary to revise playlist, trigger breaking news or support News team needs.
YOU HAVE: (aka Qualifications) * Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 5+ years of media industry experience required.
* Strong experience in programming strategy, scheduling, and operations.
* Technical background and/or familiarity with FAST channel streaming platform specifications.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
* Project management experience in a technical oriented environment.
* Must be detailed and process-oriented with the ability to multitask and maintain a good level of understanding of multiple operational functions.
* Familiarity with workflow concepts: lead times, input/output relations.
* PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel skills.
* Bi-lingual (Spanish, English) is required.
* Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects under pressure.
