Part-Time Welding Instructor Salary $30.00 - $40.00 Hourly Location Idaho Falls, ID Job Type Part Time Job Number 1904727 Department Workforce Training Non-Credit Opening Date 09/11/2025 Closing Date Continuous FLSA Non-Exempt * Description * Benefits Job Summary Provides classroom and laboratory instruction to students in Workforce Training and Continuing Education's welding programs.

Typical Job Functions * Provides instruction to students and develops related instructional materials as needed (such as syllabus, lectures, course materials, evaluation tools, classroom activities, and others) * Instructs and evaluates students in theory and laboratory * Designs challenging theory and lab exercises * Updates syllabi as required * Maintains student records * Attends meetings as requested * Maintains inventory and upkeep, and updates equipment as required and feasible to stay current to industry standards\ * Ability to work well with others * Self-starter * Ability to motivate others * Dependable * Performs other job-related duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications * 2-3 years of welding industry experience * Incumbent must reside in Idaho (Currently CEI doesn't sponsor H-1B Visas) Additional Desired Qualifications * Successful completion of a post-secondary welding program * Over 3 years of welding industry experience * American Welding Society CWI/CWE preferred * Teaching experience * Bilingual (Spanish) Physical Demands: Essential functions of this position require: manual dexterity, ability to communicate, lifting, kneeling, squatting, climbing, crawling, stooping, turning/twisting, balancing, reaching and handling with varying frequencies.

Heavy work: Occasional lifting and carrying objects up to 75 pounds, Frequent lifting and carrying, pushing, or pulling objects weighing up to 50 pounds; and/or continuous lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling 10-20 pounds.

Onsite work is essential and regular predictable attendance is required.

Employees may be required to work at occasional events and handle tasks outside of regular working hours.

Background Investigations: Employment at College of Eastern Idaho will be contingent upon the successful completion of a criminal background investigation and may require a credit and/or motor vehicle background investigation depending on the position.
