We seek applicants who are dedicated to serving The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley's student body as a rotation site recruiter, clinical assistant professor of thePhysician Assistant department beginning in the 2025-2026 academic year.
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Clinical Rotation Site Coordinator to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a medical professional degree, preferably as a Physician Assistant (PA). However, we will consider other healthcare professionals, such as Registered Nurse (RN) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.). This position is essential for recruiting and securing clinical rotation sites for our Physician Assistant students primarily in the Corpus Christi and Laredo areas, with a strong emphasis on Corpus Christi and its surrounding communities.

Minimum Qualifications Degree in Health-related field.
Discipline Specific Required Qualifications Preferably a Physician Assistant.
Preferred Qualification Knowledge of the healthcare landscape in the Corpus Christi and Laredo areas, including an understanding of local healthcare providers, facilities, and community health needs.
Awareness of legal and ethical considerations in healthcare education, including issues related to patient confidentiality and student supervision.
Strong skills in networking and relationship-building with healthcare professionals, administrators, and potential rotation sites to secure quality clinical placements.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey information to diverse audiences, including students, faculty, and healthcare providers.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines, particularly in a fast-paced educational environment.
Proficient in evaluating clinical sites for educational quality and effectiveness, including the ability to analyze feedback and make data-driven decisions.
Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and demands, including flexibility in scheduling site visits and coordinating with various stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to address challenges that may arise during the recruitment of rotation sites or during student placements.
Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, preceptors, and students to foster an effective learning environment and ensure the success of clinical rotations.
Familiarity with technology and software for documentation, reporting, and communication, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant platforms.
Ability to provide mentorship and support to students as they navigate their clinical rotations, fostering their professional development and growth.
Previous experience in clinical education or academic administration, particularly in a role involving clinical site coordination or student placemen Key responsibilities: Identify, recruit and secure clinical rotation sites for physician assistant students in Corpus Christi, surrounding areas and Laredo Build and maintain relationships with local healthcare facilities, clinics, and providers to establish and enhance rotation opportunities Conduct site visits to current rotation sites to assess the quality of the clinical learning environment and ensure compliance with program standards Complete all required documentation and forms durign site visits in accordance with provided guidance Work closely with faculty and administration to align rotation stie offerings with curricular needs and student learning objectives Collaborate with healthcare providers to facilitate a positive and educational experience for students during their rotations Maintain accurate records of site visits, agreements, and student placements Prepare reports on site evaluations and feedback to inform program improvements Serve as the primary point of contact for rotation site coordinators, preceptors, and students to address any concerns or issues that may arise during the rotation process Facilitate communication between students and preceptors to ensure a smooth transition and productive rotation experience Salary Commensurate with Qualifications and Experience License or Certification Required?
