This Opportunity WSP is looking for a full-time, Early Career Civil Transportation Engineer for our Las Vegas, NV office.

Provide local technical assistance for the design, development, and construction of infrastructure projects and systems in the public and private sector.

Tasks may include assistance with the research, design, concept development, and construction of transportation civil infrastructure.

Your Impact * Assist and support design teams in the execution of project delivery.

* Provide technical input during various stages of projects, including preliminary design, final design, construction, and contract documentation, including plans, cost estimates, and specifications.

* Perform basic design tasks and create drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) to develop conceptual transportation projects in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, InRoads/OpenRoads, and/or MicroStation.

* Perform standard computations and analysis.

* Discuss and propose solutions to technical issues.

* Collect data and gather information or documents.

* Bring fresh ideas and innovative ways to solve problems.

* Attend design meetings and coordinate with team members.

* Develop memorandums and other written technical documents.

* Maintain positive team relationships and contribute to a collaborative culture.

* Assist and coordinate with key staff across disciplines (e.g., drainage, structures) as required.

* Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

Who You Are Required Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, or closely related discipline.

* 0 to 1 years of relevant post-education experience.

* Engineer in Training Certification (or ability to obtain one in 6 months). * Great interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others.

* Self-starter with attention to detail, multi-tasking, and prioritization of responsibilities in a dynamic work environment.

* Desire to learn and develop skill set.

* Passion for improving transportation systems.

* Ability to work independently under general supervision, as well as part of a team to meet business objectives.

* Basic proficiency with technical writing, software, technology, and tools including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint.

* Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical work week.

* Uphold workplace safety and abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.

* Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.

* Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements.

Preferred Qualifications: * Familiarity with discipline-specific design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, InRoads/OpenRoads, ArcGIS). * Prior internship related to civil/transportation engineering.

* A member of and/or active participant in local professional practice organizations.

Compensation: Expected Salary (all locations): $56,300 - $92,900 WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.

WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant's sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
