The Senior Program Coordinator for Retention and Student Success plays a critical role in advancing the mission of the Office of Retention and Student Success (RSS) by supporting students' academic and personal needs with the goal of improving Tulane's retention and graduation rates.
This position leads and supports key programs and initiatives while contributing to the strategic planning and implementation of high-impact practices that promote student persistence, engagement, and success.
The Senior Program Coordinator serves as a key collaborator in proactive outreach and intervention efforts for first-year and second-year students, supports TU Thrive programming, and facilitates training for faculty, staff, and student mentors.
Through responsive communication, cross-departmental partnerships, and resource development, this role enhances the student experience and strengthens the university's ability to support all students, particularly those facing academic or personal challenges.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as the ability to interact cooperatively with individuals internal and external to the organization in an effective and courteous manner.
* Excellent organizational skills, the ability to meet established or anticipated deadlines, attentive to details, and able to handle multiple demands simultaneously.
* Working knowledge of various standardized word processing and spreadsheet preparation software applications.
* Ability to use the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, etc.). * Bachelor's Degree * 1 year of relevant experience OR * High School Diploma or Equivalent * 5 years of relevant experience * Degree in a related field.
* Experience working in a post-secondary educational environment.
