DUTIES: ● Employ a variety of instructional techniques to engage all learners ● Deliver innovative and experiential lessons, units, and projects which align to the MA CVTE Frameworks in Electrical ● Develop meaningful relationships with students that foster learning and self-actualization ● Provide targeted whole group, small group and/or individual instruction regarding a variety of Electrical principles in a fast-paced environment ● Supervises student work on live or community-based projects, demonstrating sound judgment to ensure safety, quality, and educational value ● Foster competition and achievement by supporting SkillsUSA activities ● Maintain and foster on-task student behaviors through effective classroom management ● Maintain timely record keeping via PowerSchool (student information and grading system), and electronic student competency tracking ● Provide after school assistance to students per contract and as needed ● Perform other duties as assigned in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement ● Provide targeted whole group, small group, and/or individual instruction to students in Electrical QUALIFICATIONS: ● High School diploma or equivalent ● Valid Massachusetts Journeyman and Master Electrician License ● Licensed or license eligible by the MA Department of Elementary and Secondary Education in Chapter 74 Electrical ● Minimum five years of recent employment experience directly related to Electrical ● Ability to maintain student discipline, differentiate instruction and work with diverse populations ● Possess teaching experience or demonstrable teaching ability ● Familiarity and understanding of the Massachusetts Vocational Frameworks ● Ability to facilitate meaningful hands-on learning experiences for students
