About the Role
The Assistant Valve Division Manager will play a key role in supporting sales, operations, and customer service for the Valve Division. This role works closely with the Division Manager, account managers, and customers to ensure smooth day-to-day operations while contributing to business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Process quotes, bids, and sales orders via fax, mail, email, EDI, and phone
Expedite orders to meet customer needs and provide technical support
Assist account managers with sales and service activities, including customer visits
Back up warehouse operations (order pulling, receiving, staging inventory)
Review and follow up on open orders and pending quotes
Manage purchase order replenishments, returns, and inventory issues
Join in divisional, branch, and safety meetings; participate in on-call rotation
Handle customer service issues, escalating when necessary
Collaborate with internal departments (accounting, IT) to resolve issues quickly
Motivate and support branch personnel to achieve operational goalsQualifications
Minimum 2 years of experience in sales or sales support
Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills
Ability to travel as needed and work beyond 40 hours/week when required
Industrial/valve division or instrumentation experience preferredCompensation & Benefits
