Posting Number ST000955 Position Title Box Office Student Lead Department Fine Arts Division Business Affairs Supervisor Jennifer Holloway Supervisor Title Description of Job Duties In addition to the standard tasks of a Box Office Student Worker, this position assists with coordinating student staff and ushers, ticket sales and running of front of house operations for events managed by the Department of Fine & Performing Arts.
Work locations are Pfeiffer Hall, the Wentz Concert Hall, the Theatre at Meiley-Swallow Hall, and Madden Theatre.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 1.
Assist with onboarding new box office student workers, such as training, conducting secondary interviews with those chosen by management, etc.
2.
Compile the desk shift schedule and implement it into Sling, as instructed by management.
3.
Serve as a Day of Show point-person to other student workers as well as to patrons.
4.
Coordinate and communicate with volunteer ushers in a professional manner, such as arranging the usher sign-ups, and emailing the ushers with any announcements or reminders.
5.
Process and sell tickets for performances through online ticketing system with customers in person, on the phone, or by processing online orders.
6.
Interact with event patrons in a professional manner.
7.
Contribute to team goals and initiatives by attending student trainings, working collaboratively on projects, and assist department staff as needed.
8.
Prepare for performing arts events by prepping will call, ticket sales, usher sign-ins, and/or venue set-up.
9.
Attend and assist with the coordination of monthly 'in-service meetings' to communicate with department staff about programming or season updates, changes, and other important information pertaining to employment.
10.
Open and close the box office during appropriate shifts, and for performances.

No Job Qualifications * Currently employed as a North Central College Box Office Student Worker.
* Have completed at least 1 year in the position of North Central College Box Office Student Worker.
* Ability to deliver a high level of professionalism and customer service.
* Computer proficiency is necessary, along with excellent attention to detail.
* Available to work some night and weekend hours to accommodate the performance schedule (usually, a minimum of 2-3 events per month). Summer availability is preferred, though not required.
