Our client is an industry leading systems integration and manufacturing automation company with an immediate need for an Operations Manager at its division headquarters in Cleveland, Ohio. The Operations Manager will be responsible for all plant operations including production goals, employee training and engagement, and plant policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Directs and coordinate overall plant operations within company policies and procedures.

Ensures production goals are met on a consistent basis by tracking output and efficiencies using KPI's to keep the team on track and profitable.

Drives continuous improvement through 5S, Six Sigma, and Lean manufacturing programs.

Oversee specifications of product manufactured / assembled.

Oversees and continually improves our safety program to ensure a safe environment for team members.

Manage materials and supplies to ensure production and operational metrics can be met.

Oversee all incoming and outgoing activities and ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.

Works cross-functionally to ensure coordination of purchasing, shipping, receiving, and other departments as needed.

Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, EPA, Tier II, Fire, etc. and regulatory requirements.

Foster a well-trained and motivated staff.

Conduct employee performance reviews.

Schedule and conduct plant meetings.

Responsible for producing high quality product the first time and at the source.

Attend scheduled corporate training and meetings.

Remain knowledgeable of required personnel related guidelines, policies and procedures of the company and take action necessary to ensure adherence.

Ensure fairly and equitable administration of all company policies and guidelines

Schedule and conduct daily and weekly standup/toolbox talks

Performs other duties as required

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field

5-7 years of significant manufacturing experience, including progressive management and supervisory responsibility

Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing automation, custom systems integration, and/or controls engineering concepts

Certification or training in Lean Six Sigma; Green Belt or higher strongly preferred

Demonstrated experience and success in leading and growing teams

Advanced interpersonal and management skills.

Superior oral and written communication skills
