THIS POSITION IS ENTITLED TO A EXTRA 20% SUPPLEMENT PAY.
What You'll Do: * Assesses educational needs of incarcerated persons.
* Develops lesson plans to address those needs to include individualized assignments and training.
* Provides instruction in fundamentals of electricity, using test equipment and residential, commercial, and industrial wiring and individual assistance.
* Administers, scores and interprets examinations and proficiency indicators.
* Maintains discipline and/or security and counsels students concerning their performance, behavior and/or personal problems.
* Attends variety of meetings (e.g., in-service training, treatment team, student interviews). * Prepares required records and reports (e.g., enrollment figures, grades, student progress). * Inventories and orders supplies and materials needed.
* Researches, selects and recommends new teaching materials.
* Attends in-service training sessions and workshops for professional development.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
Must meet eligibility requirements for Teacher Certificate/License appropriate for career-tech - electrical wiring & grade level as assigned*; Teacher 1, 71441, must also have baccalaureate degree or less per OEA agreement; NOTE: Applicant must successfully obtain Teacher Certificate or License prior to employment.
