* Lecturer Starting Date Spring 2026 Closing Date Responsibilities The Department of Political Science at Midwestern State University invites applications for a full-time 9- month non-tenure-track Lecturer to begin Spring 2026.

As a faculty member in the Department of Political Science you will be expected to: * Teach 12 credit hours/4 courses of American national government and Texas government each semester.

* Communicate and meet with students.

* Assist with departmental needs.

* Maintain a regular presence on campus.

Requirements Required Qualifications Include: 1.

MA in Political Science 2.

Demonstrated teaching effectiveness.

Preferred Qualifications Include: * PhD (ABD accepted) in Political Science.

Commitment to undergraduate education.

* Experience teaching courses in American national government and/or Texas government.

* Experience teaching in-person courses.

* Experience teaching online courses.

Standard Requirements Requires the ability to maintain positive working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and the community.
