Private Nanny

A loving family in Herndon, Virginia, is seeking a trustworthy and reliable permanent nanny to care for their two children, a three-year-old and six-month-old, starting in August. They need coverage for three days per week (flexible on which days), from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

Responsibilities:

• Provide attentive and nurturing care for both children, ensuring their safety and well-being.

• Engage the three-year-old in fun, developmentally appropriate activities and encourage independent play.

• Care for a six-month old baby, including feeding, diaper changes, and naps.

• Transport the children as needed (a family vehicle will be provided for this).

• Assist with light child-related household tasks, such as tidying play areas and preparing simple meals/snacks.

• Drop off and pick up three-year-olds from preschool as needed. She attends a half day program.

• Follow the family's gentle parenting approach, which includes firm boundaries and loss of privileges if misbehaving.

• Communicate openly with parents, including when they are working from home.

Requirements:

• Previous experience caring for babies and toddlers that is verifiable by references.

• A clean driving record and a valid driver's license.

• Reliable personal transportation to get to the family's home.

• Comfortable working in a home where a parent may be present.

• Must be pet friendly. Family has a dog.

• Must pass a background check

• Must be (or willing to become) CPR/1st Aid Certified

Compensation:

• $24-$25 based on experience.

• Guaranteed weekly hours
