Job specification

Lead and direct nursing operations for the Post Care Cardiac and Stroke unit, ensuring excellence in clinical care and staff performance.

Develop and implement evidence-based protocols that support post-cardiac and stroke recovery and rehabilitation.

Oversee staffing, training, performance evaluations, and professional development to foster a skilled and empowered nursing team.

Ensure compliance with all hospital policies, state and federal regulations, and accreditation standards related to post-acute cardiac and stroke care.

Collaborate closely with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient recovery plans and clinical outcomes.

Candidate requirements

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or Healthcare Administration strongly preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of progressive clinical nursing experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role involving cardiac or stroke patient care.

Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required.

Stroke Certification (such as SCRN) and Cardiac Nursing Certification (such as PCCN or CCRN) are preferred.
