DEFINITION OF POSITION: To organize and coordinate the Drama Club program at Lincoln Middle School IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Principal or Designee REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Drama coaching experience * Knowledge of the technical aspects of drama * Current first aid and CPR certification or complete training within the first month of employment PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Washington State Teaching Certificate * Experience working with middle school age students * Training specific to theater and theatrical productions ESSENTIAL JOB RELATED ACTIVITIES: * Conduct regularly scheduled meetings and practices with Drama Club students * Teach the fundamentals of drama and theater production * Work positively, respectfully, and consistently with students * Monitor and supervise student behavior during meetings and events * Possess and practice strong interpersonal skills with a wide variety of people both inside and outside the organization (staff, parents, community members, other agencies, etc.) * Be a positive team builder who works in a collaborative manner * Meet multiple demands in pressure situations and maintain high levels of quality work * Maintain confidentiality * Communicate clearly, both orally and in writing * Regularly demonstrate professionalism in appearance, actions, decisions, and overall performance * Work with minimal supervision and be flexible * Perform other related duties as assigned TERMS OF CONTRACT: * Salary: Stipend Position: $1,532 - $1,712 per school year * Benefits/Leaves: N/A The Pullman School District Board of Directors and the Pullman School District shall provide equal educational opportunity and treatment for all students in all aspects of the academic and activities programs without regard to race, religion, creed, color, national origin, age, honorably-discharged veteran or military status, sex, sexual orientation (including gender expression or identity), marital status, the presence of any sensory, mental or physical disability, participation in the Boy Scouts of America or the use of a trained dog guide or service animal by a person with a disability.
