Job Summary

Deaconess Health System is seeking a dynamic and experienced System Director of Physician/Provider Recruitment to lead our provider recruitment team. In this strategic leadership role, you will be responsible for coordinating and implementing system-wide initiatives to attract high-quality physicians and advanced practice providers. This position plays a critical role in shaping the medical staff of Deaconess and its affiliates, ensuring our continued growth and excellence in patient care.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

Manage, coach, and support provider recruitment staff.

Lead hiring, onboarding, and training for recruitment department employees.

Align regional recruitment teams as new facilities join the system.

Manage departmental budgets and ensure fiscal responsibility.

Strategic Planning

Drive coordinated provider recruitment efforts across the health system.

Facilitate annual provider needs analysis and recruitment prioritization.

Develop hiring strategies and monitor recruitment metrics.

Maintain system knowledge to support recruitment objectives.

Marketing & Sourcing

Lead provider recruitment marketing strategy including outreach to residencies, fellowships, and conferences.

Represent Deaconess at events, meetings, and conferences.

Oversee the creation of recruitment materials and digital content.

Manage relationships with staffing agencies for locum coverage.

Recruitment Operations

Conduct and manage complex or difficult provider searches.

Screen applicants, conduct interviews, and coordinate interview logistics.

Partner with internal teams for provider onboarding and relocation support.

Guide candidates through all stages of the recruitment process.

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's Degree - Required

Experience

Minimum of five years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience - Required

Previous experience in healthcare provider recruitment - Preferred
