Job Summary

The Cardiac Device Technician will report to the Practice Manager and is responsible for the daily review and documentation of remote pacemakers, ICDs, and implantable loop recorders (ILRs) transmissions and alerts. The Cardiac Device Technician is responsible for communicating all relevant changes in patient and device status to the supervising cardiologist/cardiac nurse practitioner in a timely manner. Duties include managing patient data across remote monitoring systems, and supporting patients with transmissions, troubleshooting, and notification and scheduling of follow-ups and other administrative duties. The role also involves handling device recalls, coordinating with industry representatives, and educating patients on device use and monitoring protocols, all while maintaining clear, collaborative communication with the clinical team.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

High School diploma or equivalent required

Bachelor's degree in engineering in the biomedical field strongly preferred

Successful completion of a full Cardiac Device Educational Program OR one year's experience in Electrophysiology is strongly preferred

Experience

1+ year in cardiac device clinic strongly preferred.

Licensure and/or Certification

Current BLS certification

HRS/NASPE certification preferred
