Position Overview
The Senior Payroll Admin will oversee and manage all aspects of payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely payroll delivery while maintaining compliance with payroll regulations and standards.
This position plays a critical role in supporting the HR department and ensuring employee satisfaction through effective payroll management.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and process payroll for all employees in a timely and accurate manner
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and laws
Maintain and update timekeeping systems to accurately track employee hours and attendance
Administer employee benefits and ensure accurate deductions are made during payroll processing
Perform record keeping for all payroll-related documentation and transactions
Generate and distribute payroll reports for management review and audits
Assist employees with payroll-related inquiries and disputes to foster positive employee relations
Conduct data entry tasks with high accuracy to maintain the integrity of payroll data
Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure payroll aligns with accounting principles and financial reporting
Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail to minimize errors in payroll processing.
Required Qualifications
5+ years union payroll admin (or similar) experience
Construction company experience
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field
Experience with timekeeping systems and HRIS software
