Part time after school position $14.70/hour Department: Student Worker Reports to: Director of Service Center, and other service center personnel FLSA status: Non-Exempt Supervisor duties: Classification: Classified Approved on: 03/26/2025 Position Summary: This flexible position serves as a contributing member of the Facilities Crew in troubleshooting and solving district and site needs as they arise and helps maintain all buildings and grounds in a safe and efficient manner ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Works cooperatively with all district personnel and the general public Responds with tact and courtesy in public contact situations Performs routine maintenance on all building equipment and grounds Performs building repairs of all types Paints furniture and rooms Assists Facilities Crew in completing projects as needed Other duties as assigned KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Strong organizational and interpersonal skills in dealing with a diverse range of people Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing Ability to apply common sense understanding to solve practical problems QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS: Neat Appearance Demonstrates success in performing a wide variety of of tasks including but not limited to painting, building maintenance, and carpentry/construction PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear.
The employee is frequently required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.The employee must be able to regularly lift up to 40 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Indoor and Outdoor environment.
The noise level in the work environment is generally quiet to moderate and may become excessively noisy at times.
Will have contact with other employees, external agencies, and the general public.
