Job Summary:
The Radiology Technician will perform high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and understanding. This role requires trauma imaging experience, proficiency with radiology systems, and the ability to adapt to various patient populations and clinical needs in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Verify physician orders and procedures to ensure accuracy.
Utilize radiology information systems to facilitate patient care.
Explain procedures to patients for clarity and comfort.
Independently operate imaging equipment according to protocol, which may include placement of nasogastric tubes, IVs, urinary catheters, and administration of contrast.
Review patient images before transmission to confirm they meet diagnostic quality standards.
Perform timely quality control procedures per regulatory standards, including notification and remediation as needed.
Assist with departmental operations such as inventory management, staff scheduling, and equipment maintenance.
Adapt interactions and communication to suit the specific patient population, respecting privacy and obtaining necessary permissions.
Perform other related duties as required.
Required Experience:
Minimum 2 years of experience as an XR technologist with trauma imaging expertise.
Nice-to-Have Experience:
Experience working across multiple facilities.
Familiarity with various imaging protocols and patient care settings.

Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, and on-call

Knowledge of radiology information systems

Equipment maintenance familiarity
Education Required:
Completion of an approved radiologic technology program
Certifications Required:
Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Current unrestricted license in the state of practice
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
