SY 5th/7th Grade Math Teacher

5th/7th Grade Math Teacher Position Overview: The 6th/7th Grade Math Teacher will lead engaging math instruction that builds upon foundational skills and prepares students for advanced coursework.

The teacher will inspire a love for math and equip students with essential problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities: * Develop and deliver lessons aligned with state standards and the school's curriculum.

* Teach mathematical concepts such as fractions, algebra, geometry, and data analysis.

* Differentiate instruction to support diverse learners and maintain high expectations for all students.

* Use data to assess student understanding and adapt teaching strategies.

* Build strong relationships with students to foster a positive learning environment.

* Serve as a homeroom teacher, providing social-emotional support and building a sense of community among students.

* Collaborate with other math teachers and participate in professional learning communities.

* Write lesson plans and enter grades weekly.

* Participate in evening events, student conferences, concerts, and other family events.

* Maintain communication with families to support student achievement.

* Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in education, mathematics, or a related field; master's degree preferred.

* State teaching certification in mathematics (or ability to obtain certification). * Experience teaching middle school students, particularly in grades 6 or 7.

* Knowledge of best practices in middle school math instruction.
