Search Number PJ # 5005K Title Adjunct Faculty, Expeditionary Studies Category Part-Time Faculty Department Adventure & Expeditionary Studies About The Position: The Expeditionary Studies department, offering a Bachelor of Science, invites applications for part-time climbing, skiing, and sea kayaking instructors/guides.

Successful candidates will be committed to excellence in teaching in an institution dedicated primarily to undergraduate education.

They will be expected to demonstrate an understanding of and sensitivity to diversity and gender issues, as SUNY Plattsburgh is committed to ensuring that its graduates are educated to succeed in an increasingly complex, multicultural, and interdependent world.

Required Qualifications: Guiding experience within one's specialty; familiarity with the Adirondack/Lake Champlain region; strong interpersonal skills.

Successful candidates will have demonstrated an ability to work effectively and collegially with faculty, staff, and administrators.

Preferred Qualifications: Appropriate certifications and advanced specialty training desirable.
