Davis & Elkins College, a private college in the liberal arts tradition, invites applications for two full-time faculty positions in the Department of Nursing.
The successful candidates will join a collegial faculty in a department with multiple programs (ASN, RN-BSN, and BSN) and a commitment to student success, as demonstrated by the our students success in passing the NCLEX-RN exam and securing post-graduation employment.
Rank and salary are dependent upon qualifications and experience.

A signing bonus of thirty thousand dollars ($30,000), payable in installments, and up to ten thousand dollars ($10,000) in professional and educational development funds, payable over the course of the academic year, is available to new faculty hired.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities The successful candidate will: provide quality education for students in the nursing program through the use of classroom and/or clinical instruction; promote an environment conducive to student growth and satisfaction: participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the nursing curriculum; participate in the selection of learning experiences for students; evaluate students in the classroom and clinical area; participate in advising of assigned students and engage in service at the division, college and community levels.
Qualifications Licensure as a registered professional nurse in West Virginia or the ability to attain licensure and a Master of Science Degree in Nursing plus teaching and professional experience is preferred, but candidates enrolled in a Master of Science in Nursing program with professional experience will be considered.
A doctoral degree in Nursing is strongly preferred.
Expertise in OB and/or Med-Surg area is strongly preferred.
