Location Blackwood Campus Department Dental Programs Days and Hours Days and/or Evenings and/or Saturdays Requisition Number Job Description * Assess and evaluate dental hygiene students' clinical skills during the following dental hygiene "process of care" procedures performed with their patients in the clinic: * Review of Medical/Dental History * Extra/intraoral Exam (Oral Cancer Screening, Gingival Exam, Occlusal Exam, * Hard-Tissue Charting, Periodontal Charting, etc…) * Plaque Control Procedures * Treatment Planning * Scaling and Root Planing * Selective Polishing * Fluoride Treatments * Sealants * Radiographic Interpretation * Observe and provide feedback to students during clinical proficiencies on all dental hygiene skills.

* Exhibit knowledge of current technology in the practice of dental hygiene.

* Consult with students, fellow instructors and patients as needed in the instructional process.

* Demonstrate professionalism and follow all policies and procedures for the Dental Hygiene Program (Manual will be provided during training period). * Attend and participate in calibration exercises/meetings for clinic instructors.

* Meet with Dental Programs Director and Clinic Supervisor to review program/department procedures.

* Observe dental hygiene clinical instructors during patient care to attain understanding of clinic and educational procedures.

* Follow accreditation guidelines and procedures as designated by the CODA and Dental Programs Director.

Ability to work directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic and socio economic backgrounds.

Minimum Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree required * Current NJ RDH (Active) License * Current CPR Certification * Teaching Methodology Courses Benefits Special Instructions for Applicants Days and times vary per semester.
