Posting Number: A0000026 Position Title: EMT Basic - Adjunct Faculty- Continuous Applicant Pool Department: Health Sciences Education Reports to: Program Director Job Summary: Uses technology based instruction to sustain the specific courses and curricula mandated by the educational mission and goals of the College.

Essential Functions: 1.

Instructs students in assigned classes.

2.

Provides academic guidance and counseling to students in cooperation with Student Services Personnel.

3.

Maintains academic standards.

4 Prepares course syllabus and outline.

5.

Monitors student progress.

6.

Keeps adequate and accurate records.

7.

Enters final course grades online.

Other Duties: Other duties as assigned.

Accountabilities: Under the direct supervision of the Department Chair, each Adjunct faculty member is responsible for satisfying the educational, administrative, and fiscal requirements inherent in his/her position.

Job Specifications: Associate's degree.

EMT-B Licensure and Michigan Instructor Coordinator (IC) license or EMT-P I/C.

Must be BLS, ACLS, and PALS certified as an instructor.

Equivalent of two (2) years' relevant full-time, non-teaching work experience and a minimum of two (2) years' teaching experience in an EMT and/or Paramedic program.

This course is taught on-campus.
