Coach

Position Overview: Ryegate Public School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic High School Cheerleading Coach for the upcoming school year.

This individual will lead and mentor student-athletes, foster school spirit, and create a positive and inclusive team culture.

The ideal candidate will bring energy, leadership, and a passion for student development through athletic excellence.

Responsibilities: * Organize and conduct cheerleading practices and game-day performances * Teach proper cheer techniques, stunting, tumbling, and choreography * Promote teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship * Collaborate with school administration, athletic staff, and parents * Ensure student safety and compliance with school and state athletic guidelines * Supervise students at all practices, games, and events * Coordinate fundraising and team events, as needed Qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred) * Previous cheerleading and/or coaching experience required * Strong communication and organizational skills * Ability to motivate and support student-athletes * CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain * Must pass a background check and meet district coaching requirements Preferred Qualifications: * Experience working with high school students * Knowledge of MHSA (Montana High School Association) rules and regulations * Choreography or dance background
