Summary: The Maintenance Laborer - Landfill is responsible for safely and efficiently performing general maintenance and labor duties at a landfill facility.
Primary responsibilities include site clean-up, fueling and maintaining landfill equipment, basic machine maintenance, cleaning of machinery, and general site support to ensure safe and efficient landfill operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Safely and efficiently perform assigned responsibilities, including: Cleaning and maintaining landfill work areas Fueling landfill vehicles and equipment Cleaning tracks on track-type equipment General cleaning and basic maintenance of landfill machinery and equipment, including routine lubrication, filter changes, and inspections Reporting equipment issues for repair Perform general site maintenance, including mowing, litter collection, and debris removal Operate landfill support vehicles and equipment such as water trucks, pick-up trucks, mowers, and small tools Assist with the installation and maintenance of temporary wind fencing and other site infrastructure Direct incoming and outgoing landfill traffic as needed Follow and enforce all landfill safety procedures and environmental guidelines Perform general facility upkeep, including painting, cleaning, and minor repairs to structures Additional duties as assigned Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Education/ and or Experience: * One year of prior experience working at sites regulated by OSHA preferred.
* Experience in the Solid Waste Industry preferred.
