Job Title: Adjunct Faculty - Civil & Construction Engineering - CE 545 - Geotechnical Analysis of Earthquake Phenomena Posting End Date: October 14, 2025, at 12:00 AM (MDT) * NOTE: Last day to apply is Monday, October 13, 2025 Position Start Date: January 7, 2026 Required Degree: MS degree in Civil Engineering or Geology The required degree must be completed by the start date.

Experience: 2+ years working in Civil Engineering or Geology-related field.

Duties/Expectations: Teach CE 545 - Geotechnical Analysis of Earthquake Phenomena * Instruct students in person during designated class times * Provide office consultations and student mentoring (about 2 hrs per week) * Prepare course materials (homework/projects) * Evaluate student work * Write and administer exams.

Adjunct faculty do not attend faculty meetings and are not required to participate in research or citizenship responsibilities.

Course Description: Earthquake magnitude and intensity; design ground motions, elementary dynamics of structures; response spectra; building code provisions; liquefaction and ground failure.

(3 credit course.

This course has in-person instruction.
