The college is located within the Greater Richmond metropolitan area.

It serves students and the community at its two campuses, in Chester and Midlothian; online; and in locations throughout its service area.

General Information: Adjunct faculty teaching is limited to a maximum of 8 credit hours in the summer semester, 12 credit hours in the fall semester, and 12 credit hours in the spring semester.

These limits are for total number of credit hours taught in the Virginia's Community Colleges (VCCS). Additional restrictions may apply depending upon other positions occupied within VCCS.

Responsibilities: The Division of Health Sciences at Brightpoint Community College augments full-time teaching faculty with qualified part-time instructors to enhance the student learning process.

If you are currently a radiologic technologist and would like to help educate future technologists, consider teaching part-time with Brightpoint Community College in our radiologic technology program as an adjunct faculty.

Orientation to the responsibilities will be provided by full-time faculty or the Program Director.

Course textbooks provided as well as orientation to Brightpoint classroom support software.

Adjunct faculty provides traditional delivery instruction at the off-campus instructional site.

Courses may be taught during the day and evening Minimum Qualifications: Required Qualifications: Minimum of a Minimum of an associate's degree and demonstrated competencies in the teaching discipline.

Holds current ARRT certification and registration in radiography.

Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.

Must successfully pass a drug screen and criminal background check prior to employment.

Additional Considerations: Bachelor's degree in the teaching discipline preferred with prior teaching experience at the postsecondary level.

Ability to use instructional technologies.
